Element Pictures aquires rights to Irish bestseller ‘Oh My God What A Complete Aisling’

71o9K7haS+L‘The Irish best-selling novel Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling has been acquired by Element Pictures, the company behind successful films RoomThe Lobster, A Date for Mad Mary and The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

The debut book, written by friends Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen, claimed the spot as number-one bestselling adult fiction title in Ireland for 2017. McLysaght and Breen are both on board to write the screenplay for the film.

 

McLysaght and Breen last December signed a deal with Gill Books for a further two installments and are attached to write the film’s screenplay.

Element’s Rory Gilmartin is producing with Ed Guiney. The company’s Chelsea Morgan Hoffmann is heading up development. The deal was brokered by Luke Speed at Curtis Brown Group on behalf of Sheila Crowley & Abbie Greaves of Curtis Brown Group, and Mark Byrne for Element Pictures.’
