William Sutcliffe’s ‘Whatever Makes You Happy’ adaptation potentially starring Patricia Arquette and Angela Bassett 


William Sutcliffe’s novel ‘Whatever Makes You Happy’ is the basis for the film Otherworld. Patricia Arquette and Angela Bassett are in negotiations to star in the feature comedy Otherhood which Cindy Chupack (Modern FamilySex In The City) is directing for Netflix. The project was adapted by Chupack and Mark Andrus. The production is currently looking to cast one other top star in the film which will go for five weeks in New York on June 11.

Producing the film will be Jason Michael Berman from Mandalay Pictures and Welle Entertainment’s Cathy Schulman (who is also the head of Women in Film).

Matt works for a lads mag and dates girls half his age. Paul is an old hand at lying and evasion to keep his life choices a secret from his mother. Daniel spends his Saturday nights alone in his flat reading novels. Their mothers arrive, without warning, to stay with their sons for one week intent on getting them back on the right path.

Arquette and Bassett are both repped by The Gersh Agency. Arquette is also repped by 3Arts. Bassett by Lighthouse Entertainment and legal reps Fox Rothschild.’
